Legendary Thread

A Legendary Thread happens when the comments to a submission reach a level of hilarity, awesomeness, or just outright bizarreness that the thread becomes more well known than the submission that started it, far beyond the level of an Epic Thread. It has the staying power of months or even years, constantly being referred to whenever a subject that has the slightest resemblance to it comes up.

A note about these threads is that Farkers will post in them just to say they posted in a Legendary Thread, which had become a meme all on its own.
